When I finally was able to watch it, it already was a pile of garbage. But this is definitely not Empty-V exclusive. The quality of contents on TV in general has dramatically dropped. I don't care about the VMAs to be honest. I don't know what the criteria are, to award someone a prize. Would it be all about money? (Talking about TV industry in general? Duh!!) Sadly, I had no way to watch the good old days of MTV. When I finally was able to watch it, it already was a pile of garbage.

Plus a fun episode of 120 minutes. Sigh... I still pull it out every year or so. Because some of us like to watch music videos - on the TV. I know. Crazy concept. All that I have seen of old MTV is the old episodes of Bevis and Butthead that my Uncle taped. I think we need more music channels like the ones on the Sky network in Europe.
