Audio Vault - Radio Recording

While I was never an official "employee" or even "intern" at KROQ, I was there all the time. When I wasn't there, friends who worked there would float me tapes (cassettes, later DAT tapes) of cool stuff (commercials, interviews, IDs, et cetera).

One of those "cool things" is this recording. Ben Stein (political speech writer, the "Economics Teacher" from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", and much more) had a TV show at the time on Comedy Central called "Win Ben Stein's Money", featuring then KROQ morning show "Sports Guy" Jimmy Kimmel as co-host. Because of the Jimmy Kimmel connection, Ben Stein did a few things for KROQ, including the intro to the 1998 Kevin & Bean Christmas CD.

This is not the recording that aired, though. This is the edited "KROQ Tracking Session" of the Ben Stein guest air shift, with a few different takes of a few of the breaks. Again, these are just the voice bits Ben Stein recorded, but without the music.
