DESCRIPTION:
KROQ was playing "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails...a lot. What they were not doing was playing the remixes of the song. The record label had not made clean radio edits of the remixes.
I stepped up.
Neither this clean remix edit, or the clean remix edit I did of "Closer To God" got much airplay. It's a shame, because having a variety of versions of the song to play could have kept it sounding fresh on the station. Anyone can play a normal radio edit, but only KROQ had the remixed versions in a "radio friendly" edit.
Meh. At least they saw some plays on the air.
Not heard since 1994, from a dusty DAT tape, here is the BRAT Radio Edit of the Deviation Mix.
